We toured the University of Michigan and Ann Arbor by car today. It's huge. I rememer when Steve and Ann came out here when she was looking for colleges and they thought it was huge, too. To huge, in fact. The U of Michigan Medical Center, adjacent to the campus, is absolutely the biggest hospital I ever saw. And the map shows 3 other hospitals in the near vicinity. Wow.
The university has a lot of old beautiful buildings surrounded by trees and lots of new chrome and glass buildings. There are a couple of little streets in the middle of the campus with shops, fast food joints, and boutiques. We went to a gigantic, two-story Starbucks for our first Starbucks of the trip. Sure tasted good! Ann Arbor's main section is also very nice with inviting restaurants, clothing shops, bookstores, and the like. I told Steve I want to go to college.
I know you Michigan fans, i.e. Norm, will appreciate today's picture. If we go through Ohio on our way home I'll take a picture if Ohio State for Marty Campbell.
Tomorrow we're off to Kinght's Beach, south of Hamilton, Ontario. People here have recommended being at the border prior to 8AM in order to get across without delay. So that's our goal. I'm not optimistic that we'll make it, but we did a lot of our final chores tonight to save time in the morning.

Agree with two things: a good latte can brighten the day and all of us should go to college when we are full grown and mature adults - education is wasted on the . . . . well, not really, but . . . ! If you sign up, I will!
Hi guys, welcome to Ann Arbor, a truly beautiful college town. And such a great school. I am certain that Marty is quite jealous of you.
With your well written blog, I feel like we are right along with you all the way. Hope you're having as much fun as it sounds.
Good Luck!
Hi Steve and Jean,
