RV Community

We've met some great people at Flathead Lake including one couple that is just starting out as full-timers. They sold their house in Atlanta and gave away or sold all their stuff and bought a beautiful big diesel pusher. He owned a mill work business, she taught voice and piano and was a church organist. When asked if she missed her piano, she replied "not yet". It got us thinking. Although we are only a week into this trip, we're having a great time. But Steve must have asked Maury two or three times if he missed his friends an neighbors, and isn't it hard to keep up with people?

Somehow, as attractive as simplifying and clearing out all the stuff (you've seen our garage, right?) would be, the idea of permanently leaving our home and community doesn't appeal. Even though we've moved a lot in our marriage, we always had a community. We've started over several times...but we join and value the communities we live in. You meet wonderful people and make fast friendships in campsites. And you can depend on them to help you. But then you drive away in different directions.

So we will enjoy our extended trips, but then we'll head home.
