Yes, we had a wonderful time in Tahoe with Carol and Jay. The Kayaking adventure was a lot of fun, as was the barbecue with Jay's family. Sunday the air quality was poor so we just relaxed and readied the trailer for the next leg of our trip. Jay took us out to dinner to celebrate Carol's birthday later this week. Thank you, Jay.

And we arrived uneventfully and safely in Wells, NV, in the northeast part of Nevada, a 360 mile drive from Lake Tahoe, and 200 miles to Salt Lake City. Smoke from the California wildfires is evident, even here, although it is beginning to thin out a little. It was in the high 90's when we arrived, but true to the high desert climate, it is rapidly cooling as the sun sets, and we will be able to turn off the AC soon. The drive was very interesting, with steaming hot springs, arid high desert, mountains, and blue-green chaparral to look at. This part of the country is pretty remote so there was little traffic once we got away from Reno. And we had a Patricia Cornwell novel on the CD player to entertain us. All in all, a good day.

Tomorrow our goal is Dillion, MT, a whopping 470 miles. So we'll be up early!
