Photos
I still can't upload the nice photos Steve's new camera took while we were in Port Bay. I do think the resolution is too high and the files too big. Oh well. I'll use my little point and shoot more from now on.
We headed up this pass and the snow got thicker and thicker. The roads, fortunately, were fine. Temperatures in the high 30's.
Outside Jackson, Wyoming
It looked pretty, but Sept 1 is a little early for snow, isn't it?

Grizzly Bear
Just off the main road through GTNP. Caused quite a stir. When I enlage the photo, you can really see the bear. But I can't get it to fit in this blog window. Sorry.

Burro
The Burro herd is not native, but is left from when Burros were used to take tourists on trail rides. The moron in the car in front of us was feeding them, so they were a little up-close and personal.
Bison Herd at Custer State Park
This herd tied up traffic for about 1/2 hour as they crossed a road to drink and take a little swim. Note the little ones!
Bighorn Sheep
Custer State Park, Aug 26. Bighorn were originally native to Custer, however, after they died out, around 1920, a herd of Rocky Mountain Bighorn were introduced here. They have short hair, not wool. Males and females have horns, but the males' are curved.
Mountain Goat at Rushmore
Goats are not native to this area, but they seem to like it. Several were wandering around the parking lot this afternoon.
