When we met for coffee of Friday, Ron and Elda were telling me about the beautiful things to see in North Dakota. So I mapped a route from Glacier National Park to Hamilton, Ontario, via Bismark, Fargo, Minneapolis, Madison and so on. It is actually much shorter than the original route I mapped, and we would love to see those places...so maybe that's what we'll do. If you haven't looked at GOOGLE Maps yet, do it! I'm telling you, it's wonderful. You can even see your house on satellite!

Steve is due back from New York this afternoon, and I'm pretty excited to show him this new route. It will mean bypassing Cheyenne, which I am strangely attracted to, but I think Minneapolis and Madison will be a good trade-off. And with the shorter mileage, we can stay a couple of days in each place. Best of all, we'll only be driving 250 miles a day. Piece of cake!

Went to the Obama coffee yesterday. It was only OK. Everyone else knew each other and seemed a little cliquish. But I am excited to work for Obama and will do so when we get back. I got some bumper stickers and buttons. When I was walking the dog this morning I saw a Bush/Cheny 04 bumper sticker. You'd think they would have taken that thing off! Would anyone actually admit to voting for these people? I'd be embarrassed. Wouldn't it be funny to cover it with an Obama sticker? I wonder if they'd even notice. I'm a little chicken to put the bumper sticker on the truck. This is such a red neighboorhood, and we have so many red friends, and I don't want to offend anyone or inspire any vandalism. I'd be reallyhonked if someone put a McCain sticker on my truck. Anyway, I will send one to my mother in the nursing home. She will enjoy it.
